Billy Crawford shared his early farewell message to TV5’s noontime show ‘Tropang LOL’ as the show nears its end.
Netizens then claimed that the TV host was shading someone in his message. Could this be a former ‘It’s Showtime’ co-host?
In his Instagram post on April 17, Crawford shared a group photo of ‘Tropang LOL’. He then expressed his gratitude to his co-hosts and Brightlight Productions founder Albee Benitez.
The Filipino American actor, musician, and television host shared, “Super fun while it lasted! This show gave so many opportunities to people who lost their jobs at a vulnerable time. 2.5 years ain’t that bad, especially during the pandemic season and a time of uncertainty in our industry. @albeebenitez, thank you for giving us this venue to work for our families while having fun and being free, and also opening doors for others.”
He added, “I will miss the atmosphere of this show because it was so genuinely light, friendly, and uplifting for everyone, and each person on the team worked so hard.”
His message seemed normal, but given the way he said it, netizens claimed the TV host was shading someone.

Crawford furthered, “No drama, no divas, no pulling anyone down. Walang naka-angat, at walang nagmamaliit. But as I said, good things sometimes come to an end.”
The actor concluded, “Lots of tears on the last day of taping, but also lots of freaking laughter ’cause that’s just who we are. #TroplangLol 🙏 thank you to everyone who watched and supported us since the beginning. To all my co-workers, it’s not goodbye, it’s see you soon. Love you all, Tropang LoL!”
They argued Crawford was shading a former co-host. The TV host was then criticized online which led him to delete his Instagram post.
Before transferring to the TV5 network in 2020, Billy Crawford was previously with the ABS-CBN network. He was a regular host on ‘It’s Showtime’.
‘Tropang LOL’ is set to conclude on April 29, 2023, after almost 3 years on-air. It is set to be replaced by ‘Face to Face’ through its 2nd Incarnation on May 1, 2023.
