At the latest media launch of Hey Pretty Skin’s newest brand ambassador, Beauty Gonzales, CEO Anne Barretto took center stage. She stunned audiences with her amazing success journey. Speaking at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on April 14th, Anne opened up about her humble beginnings and how she climbed her way up.
Many were curious about Anne, including her famous family name. She made it clear she wasn’t from the famous ‘Barretto’ clan, “Not related po, same lang po ng surname.”
Anne shared how she started selling online and live, and how she was really passionate about beauty and skincare products.
The businesswoman shared that even after finishing her studies and landing a job, she knew she really wanted to do business. She revealed that being an employee couldn’t support her father’s medical needs, as he suffers from a stroke.
The CEO bravely admitted that in 2015, Hey Pretty Skin’s first products didn’t work.
Her work in a government agency made her pursue an aesthetic clinic. She shared, “Ang kauna-unahang aesthetic clinic ko po, nabuo siya noong 2018 sa Tomas Morato, which is 28 sqm lang po. After one month lang since gustong-gusto ko yung ginagawa kong pagpapa-ganda, nakapagpatayo po ako agad ng isa pang clinic after one month.”
Hey Pretty Aesthetics Center, which has been in business for 5 years, now has 19 branches.
Barretto revealed her plans to expand it to 5 more outlets during the press conference.
She recalled that her initial investment in the aforementioned cosmetic clinic, where she worked as the aesthetician, managed the cash register, and had just 1 staff, was only P400,000.
From her humble beginnings to her now-successful empire, Anne Barretto has proven that anything is possible with dedication and determination. Despite facing numerous obstacles along the way, she never gave up on her dreams.
