Rumors say former Star Cinema head Malou Santos has moved to GMA Pictures.
On April 18, a tweet surfaced saying Santos will work as a film consultant for GMA Pictures.
“LOOK | Malou Santos, former STAR CINEMA Head, is now part of GMA Pictures as a film consultant. She was appointed as a consultant for the upcoming film by Alden Richards and Julia Montes entitled ‘Five Breakups and a Romance’,” the caption read.

No official announcement has been released confirming whether the alleged transfer was true.
A Twitter rumor surfaced during the announcement media conference for GMA Pictures and Cornerstone Studios’ first film collaboration, ‘Five Break-ups and a Romance’. It will star Kapamilya actress Julia Montes and Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards.
In December 2022, GMA Senior Vice-President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and First VP of Program Management Mr. Joey Abacan met with retired top ABS-CBN executives Charo Santos and Malou Santos.
In 2016, Malou was appointed by ABS-CBN Corporation to be the chief operating officer (COO) of Star Creatives Malou Santos was Star Cinema head before pandemic and ABS-CBN shutdown.
