With the continued absence of ABS-CBN in the Philippine TV landscape, GMA Network continued to dominate the country’s TV audience share for the year 2022.
According to Nielsen’s 2022 Full Year Report on the Philippine Media Landscape, tweeted by @missmsuperstar on April 18, GMA Network retained the biggest share in TV viewership.
Based on the report, the Kapuso network captured 42.68 percent of the total Philippine TV viewing population.
The number, however, was a decrease of 3.3 percent from its 2021 share of 45.98 percent.

Following GMA Network in second place is its affiliate network, GTV.
In 2022, GTV recorded a total of 10.47 percent audience share, a 2.25 percent increase from its 2021 score of 8.22 percent. GTV posted the highest increase among TV channels in the country, mainly because of its ramp-up programming and the delayed telecasts of GMA Network primetime programs.
Coming closely behind TV5 at number 3 is TV5, which registered an audience share of 9.84 percent, an increase of 0.4 percent from its 9.44 percent share in 2021. TV5’s increase could be attributed to the strong performance of Kapamilya shows airing on TV5 through their blocktime agreement.
Another Kapamilya partner, A2Z, meanwhile, came in 4th with a 5.17 percent share in 2022, 0.58 percent higher than its share of 4.59 percent in 2021.
ABS-CBN’s cable channel Kapamilya Channel, on the other hand, landed in the 6th spot with a total audience share of 3.38 percent, posting a 0.02 percent increase from its previous year’s share of 3.36 percent.
