Edward Barber shared the latest update on his friendship with his previous on-screen partner Maymay Entrata.
In an interview with Push on April 11, the 22-year-old actor said that he is happy that Entrata is surrounded by people who love her.
“I’m happy for where she is right now, with the people around her and it’s just good to see that’s she’s doing well. So I think she says the same with me. We’re celebrating each other wherever we are,” he said.
Barber and Entrata both came from the ABS-CBN reality show Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 (PBB) where they were first romantically linked to each other.
Their first project was the 2017 film Loving in Tandem. Their latest project together was Princess DayaReese in 2022.
When asked about his next project with the actress, Barber said “I mean she’s in performing arts right now, which is not my natural gift.”
He added, “I guess you could say I do enjoy dancing here and there, pero ‘yun talaga ‘yung gift niya and I would say that’s what her thing is. Like you said and what we talked about, hosting is what I look at more now. So tingnan natin.”
Barber and Entrata are not a love team anymore but the actor said that he is on good terms with the actress.
“Oo naman. [Weeks ago,] we were in the same ASAP cycle together live episode,” he said.
In ABS-CBN’s reality show Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 (PBB) in 2017, Maymay was declared the season’s Big Winner, while Edward was the fourth placer.
Entrata is currently with her foreign boyfriend Aaron Haskell.
