On March 28, actor Coco Martin hoped Batang Quiapo would last long like Ang Probinsyano.
At the premiere night of Apag, which LionhearTV covered, Martin highlighted that the entire cast of the Kapamilya series had the same wish for the success of their show.
Ganon ‘yung nangyayari.”
His co-star Gladys Reyes, who starred in the show Mara Clara (1992), pointed out that Martin’s Kapamilya series, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano surpassed hers.
“Tinalo na nga ng Ang Probinsyano ‘yung Mara Clara o, dati kami ‘yung longest eh. Kayo na ‘yung longest eh.”
As for Martin, he clarified that Batang Quiapo has a different story from Ang Probinsyano.
Nandito ‘yung show.
As for their film, Apag stars Martin, Reyes, Jaclyn Jose, Shaina Magdayao, Julio Diaz, Carlos Canlas, Lito Lapid, Mark Lapid, Gina Pareño, and many more.
Under the direction of Brillante Mendoza, Apag opens in cinemas on April 8 during the Metro Manila Summer Film Festival.
