In a press conference on April 12, Sparkle artist Martin Del Rosario expressed his gratitude to GMA Network, where he spent 10 years of his career.
Del Rosario, who will play Prince Zardoz in GMA’s upcoming mega-project ‘Voltes V’ said, “Very happy, parang yung hindi ko naramdaman na hindi ako homegrown. Just recently, full Sparkle na ako ngayon, 100% Sparkle na yung naghahandle sa akin. Kasi masaya ako sa kanila, yung break na matagal ko nang pinapangarap, like Prince Zardoz, nakamit ko under sa management nila.”
In 2014, after six years of ABS-CBN talent under Star Magic, Del Rosario signed an exclusive contract with GMA Network. In 2017, four years after moving to GMA Network, he revealed that he had no regrets about leaving his old network.
The actor shared that a long career is part of his plans as he celebrates 10 years with his current network. He said, “Sa GMA naman, yung career ko, slowly, paunti-unti, paganda ng paganda yung role na nakukuha ko. Yun naman yung gusto ko e, yung longevity sa career ko, gusto kong tumagal, kahit na matandang-matanda na ako may ginagawa pa rin akong mga projects.”
His roles in the TV shows ‘The Gift’, ‘Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka’, and ‘Buena Familia’ are some of his works in GMA. He has also appeared in multiple episodes of anthology programs such as Karelasyon and Magpakailanman. Del Rosario’s portrayal of Prince Zardoz in the upcoming ‘Voltes V’ is one of his biggest roles to date.
