On March 31, the new tourism ambassador of the country, the FilAm Hollywood star Vanessa Hudgens, faced the Philippine media and the King of Talk Boy Abunda.
Paul Soriano, Vanessa Hudgens’s documentary director, allegedly got irritated and cut off Hudgens’s one-on-one interview with the media.
During the interview, Hudgens respectfully declined and shared her discomfort with questions asked by Abunda regarding her marriage with her fiance Cole Tucker.
Boy Abunda is one of the most respected Filipino TV talk show hosts and known for his intrigue-fueled and critical type of interviews.
Is this the reason why Paul Soriano threw tantrums during the interview?
“With Fast Talk kasi, kapag hindi mo sinagot, hindi ako namimilit. Totoo yan. I don’t push it. Pero ang daming nahuhuli dun, e. Andaming nahuhuli du’n. Some listen to the questions intently pero pag alam mong may resistance, di ba?” said Boy Abunda.

After Hudgens’s refusal to answer the intriguing question thrown by Abunda regarding her marriage, he noted that he respects celebrities like Hudgens who are not comfortable sharing their personal lives when asked about in such interviews.
The Siargao film director, Soriano, is set to direct and produce under his production company, TEN17P Productions, a documentary of Hudgens’s life retracing her Filipino roots.
The controversy sparked regarding the interview with the Hollywood actress when Soriano abruptly decided to cut off the one-on-one interviews with the media. He also allegedly threw tantrums due to Boy Abunda’s questions about Hudgens’s during the interview.
Allegedly, the Malacanang adviser Soriano’s wife Toni Gonzaga has the one-on-one interview for her YouTube show Toni Talks.
Many members of the media were dismayed by the abrupt end of the press conference with Hudgens. During the event, no official explanation or apology was given by the production team behind the press conference or by Soriano.
