On April 13 at Botejyu, Vertis North, Quezon City, in a press conference for the upcoming film Sa Muli, Xian Lim shared personal stories, including his being bullied when he was young, which made him stronger.
According to Lim, “Yung past mo talaga; all the struggles that you’ve dealt with, binuo ka niya to become the person you are today.
“I was bullied. I grew up na naghihirap kami ng mom ko trying to make ends meet. It made me strong; hindi ako basta-basta natitibag.” he added.
Moreover, in a 2019 interview, Lim shared that he was a victim of bullying during middle school in the US.
Regardless of his experience being bullied when he was younger, Xian shared that if given the chance to time travel, he’d choose to go back to the time he was a kid.
Sa Muli directed by Fifth Solomon under VIVA Films, and stars Xian Lim and Ryza Cenon. It opens in cinemas nationwide on April 26.
