Bea Binene finally cleared the air between her and Barbie Forteza regarding their alleged rivalry.
Binene and Forteza were batchmates in the GMA Network. Rumors about their rivalry blew up after they starred in the youth-oriented series Tween Hearts.
In a report by Bandera on April 25, Binene revealed that she does not feel jealous of Forteza, especially after the “huge success” of her series Maria Clara at Ibarra.
“Sobrang proud ako sa ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’ (MCAI) saka sa kanila ni David,” she said.
The actress explained that she and Forteza are “simply busy” with their respective careers.
“Pero ‘yun, consistent kapag may birthday, maggi-greet, ‘yung magla-like, babati, magko-comment sa Instagram and Facebook stories.
“Ganu’n po talaga. Saka hindi lang si Barbie, pati ‘yung mommy niya, si Tita Amy,” she said.
Binene then said that there is no rivalry between her and Forteza as they celebrate each other’s successes.
“Ako po, eversince, I didn’t look at it naman as something na competition.
I’m just really happy and I’m proud of her kasi ‘di ba, nagpapagawa na ng bahay si ate girl, ganyan, ‘di ba?
Sobrang proud ako sa kanya especially now with all the success of MCAI,” she said.
Binene is currently an artist under Viva Artists Agency (VAA). She will star in the drama series The Rain in España with Marco Gallo and Heaven Peralejo.
