GMA senior vice president Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes revealed that ABS-CBN and GMA Network’s collaboration was her father’s idea.
On February 8, during an interview with Paolo Contis, Gozon shared her father’s idea, who thought of the collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA Networks.
“Idea ng dad ko na makipag-collaborate sa ABS-CBN,” Gozon said.
Contis joked that maybe Gozon was just forced because it was her father who wanted the said partnership.
“Gustong-gusto ko ang collaboration. Gusto ko talagang nakikipag-collaborate sa ibang producers.
“Kaya nga from before pa, lagi kaming may partnerships with Regal, Viva, lahat ng producers. So ngayon, may opportunity na to work with someone we never worked before, na siyempre we respect so much in this industry, so exciting!” she stated.
In 2021, Felipe Gozon stated that they are considering every proposal being handed to them
“The situation right now is that there is no talk, there is nothing to consider, but we are not closing the door. Every proposal that will come our way will be seriously evaluated.”
On January 23, during the story conference of the teleserye, Unbreak My Heart, Gozon shared how much she respected the Lopez-run media company as a content provider.
“We’ve always respected ABS-CBN as a great content creator, a great content producer. We’ve been partnering with many content providers, such as Viva, Regal, and others. So why not ABS, ‘di ba? When the opportunity came up, everything went very smooth; so we’re happy to be working in this soap opera, wherein we are able to combine both Kapamilya and Kapuso talents, so it’s really for the audience, “she said.
Directed by Emmanuel Quindo Palo and Dolly Dulu, GMA Network, ABS-CBN Entertainment, and Viu will collaborate for a Dreamscape Entertainment project.
It will star Kapuso and Kapamilya stars such as Joshua Garcia, Gabbi Garcia, Richard Yap, and Jodi Sta. Maria. The said series will be filmed in Switzerland and will air on GMA Network.
Unbreak My Heart might have just begun what could be a streak of bigger partnerships between ABS-CBN and GMA Network in the future.
