On April 12, Kapamilya star Anji Salvacion reacted to Annie Lux’s revelation, saying she originally had KZ Tandingan in mind.
At the media conference for Paraiso, which LionhearTV covered, US-based singer-songwriter Annie Lux revealed that she first had the Tandingan in mind when she first came up with the song.
“So, originally, this song was created for Tarsier, they were looking for empowering song, so I was thinking who was an artist– you know, so KZ Tandingan, so I was trying to sing different stuff because in my mind she’s super–she has such an amazing agility to her voice.”
However, as she was working on the song with the US-based producer Exale, she realized that Salvacion was the best singer for Paraiso.
“So, I was like, but for me, I can’t belt, I’m not biritera, so I don’t know how this was [going to] go. So I wrote the song, and Exale came up with the beat, and then we were on Zoom together, he was playing a kind of like a guitar, and then he would slide it up [kind of], and it sounds like almost Polynesian.
“And I was like, okay, that was a good sound, and I think we should have some tropical house influences, and disco influences, top 40 influences.
“So the song was finished already for a while, and then the decision was, I think Anji was the best option for this song.”
Salvacion thanked Lux and Exale for choosing her to take on the single Paraiso.
“I was shocked na it was offered to me kasi ang ganda, ganda ng song. I really love the song. And in-offer lang nila sa akin and I’m so blessed and so honored na pinili ako nila Miss Annie Lux and ni sir Exale.”
Paraiso is a vibrant and upbeat track and Salvacion’s first project under Tarsier Records.
The song intends to boost their listeners’ self-esteem and embrace their version of paradise.
US-based producer, Exale produced The Tarsier Records single with the composition from US-based singer-songwriter Annie Lux.
Paraiso streams starting Friday, April 14, on various digital music platforms.
