Fifth Solomon bravely opened up about the challenges of his early career as a director and writer that made him question his faith.

“May mga times na kinukwestiyon ko rin talaga yung God’s plan with my career as a director and writer. Na, ‘Gusto ko pa ba? May manunuod pa ba ng pelikula ko?'”

He shared his struggle to encourage the public to watch his films, including Nakalimutan Ko Nang Kalimutan Ka, starring Alex Gonzaga, which was his directorial debut.

He expressed great gratitude as it opened a lot of doors for him.

Fifth Solomon’s controversial film, The Exorcis made headlines when it reportedly earned PHP 7,500 on its first day of screening. Besides, starring Alex and Toni Gonzaga, the film was an entry for the 2021 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Additionally, his most recent film, Single Bells, for the first-ever Summer Metro Manila Film Festival, was also unable to gain him a box office hit and did not receive any awards from the film festival.

Sa Muli: 5 years in the making.

Fifth Solomon hopes many people could watch his upcoming directed film “Sa Muli,” starring Ryza Cenon and Xian Lim.

“Sana itong Sa Muli — Lord, sana panoorin ng mga tao. Kasi to be honest kung gagawa ka ng pelikula, o magsusulat ka, gusto mo talagang mapanood ng madami.”

On April 13 at Botejyu, Vertis North, Quezon City, during the press conference for his upcoming film, he shared that he wrote Sa Muli in 2018. In addition, Solomon approached Ricky Lee as he joined his scriptwriting masterclass for screenplay.

Furthermore, he shared the challenges the production had to go through, including when the pandemic lockdown struck just four days before the filming got completed.

Opening on April 26, Sa Muli under Viva Films is a romantic drama film starring Ryza Cenon and Xian Lim.
