The pre-noon show will air its finale episode on Saturday, April 30.
“It’s really a wake-up call for me to mature, and grow and think kung anong pwedeng mangyari sa paligid ko na kung ano mang pwedeng maramdaman sa paligid ko na pwede may ma-hurt, pwedeng may masaktan na hindi mo intensyon. You really have to be careful.”
That was what TV host-vlogger Alex Gonzaga claimed to have learned from her cake-smearing controversy last January. It seems, however, that she conveniently forgot it yesterday, April 26, during the airing of the pre-noontime show, ‘Tropang LOL’.
The Brightlight Productions-produced program is in its last days on the air.
In her closing remarks, Gonzaga appeared to tease her co-hosts about going over time and not allowing the next program to air.
“Wag na natin ‘tong tapusin, mag-overtime tayo. Wag natin silang papasukin,” Gonzaga jokingly said in her closing spiel, as she was also fake-crying.
She then quipped at Billy Crawford, saying, “Daddy Bills, baka bumalik ka doon ha,” which the latter laughed at. Crawford was notably part of ‘It’s Showtime’ for several years.
Netizens responded to the clip with irritation, pointing out that the younger Gonzaga did not learn from her past mistakes.
“Talaga ba Catherine?” asked @AltKapamilyaCH, who attached the clip to his post.

“si catherine ay namatay, at muling nabuhay sa ngalan ng issue. go gurl get that clout and give us nothing,” tweeted @schandeulier, alluding to Gonzaga being a clout chaser.

Gonzaga is yet to respond to this controversy she got in. But knowing all the remaining episodes of the concluding TV show have been taped, it seems her explanation may be likely seen on another show or platform.
