Kapamilya host and comedian Vice Ganda explained why he’s not included in the recent list of top celebrity taxpayers for 2022.
Vice was compelled to clarify the news about the top taxpayers’ list after a netizen tweeted about his non-inclusion.
“I am actually shocked vice ganda was not included sa top taxpayers,” @clarajustafan tweeted.
In his response, the It’s Showtime host clarified that the list that was recently reported by the media was only for the BIR Regional District 39.
“FYI yung nasa news po ay mga top tax payers ng RDO (RegionalDistrictOffice) 39.”
He then shared that he was part of the top taxpayers’ list in RDO 38, adding that he was invited to the ceremony but wasn’t able to attend.
“I am one of the Top Tax Payers of RDO 38. I was invited sa ceremony nung Feb 27 pero di po ako naka attend.”

On Wednesday, March 8, the BIR held its recognition ceremony for the top celebrity taxpayers of 2022.
Included in the list were awarded were Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Anne Curtis, Coco Martin, Sarah Geronimo, and Willie Revillame, among others.
News reports, however, failed to mention that the list included was only for a certain RDO.
Meanwhile, in a subsequent tweet, Vice also clarified that he was not offended by the netizen’s tweet. He said he just wanted to set the record straight for others, who were also asking about his non-inclusion in the list.
“Yes po I know naman. Kaya nag FYI lang ako para sa mga nagtatanong din. All good. GV lng.”
