Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon may have indirect hits over the rumored rebranding of ‘Eat Bulaga!’.
On March 3, during the live telecast of the show, the three discussed their contributions over the years.
After the three hosts sang the theme song of the noontime show, Tito reminded viewers of the huge contributions made by Vic and Joey.
“Oh, ha! Para sa mga mas bata pa sa kanila, nililinaw ko lang, ha, ang nag-compose ng kantang Eat Bulaga, si Vic Sotto. Ang nag-imbento ng salitang Eat Bulaga, si Joey de Leon!” Tito said.
“Si Vic ang nag-compose ng kanta, ako ang nakaisip nung Eat Bulaga,” Joey agreed.
“Ano ang ginawa mo?’” Joey asked Tito.
“Ako ang manager!” Tito answered.
On March 3, the children of former Zamboanga congressman and founding partner of TAPE Inc. Romeo Jalosjos had already met with GMA Network executives to talk about the noontime show.
The Jalosjos siblings, Bullet, John, and Soraya, are said to have introduced themselves as the newly formed management team behind the country’s longest-running noontime show.
Reportedly, Jalosjos is wooing comedians Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Allan K to remain in the program and replace TVJ as the show’s main hosts.
Jalosjos’s business partner, Antonio P. Tuviera, who currently manages the noontime show, is said to be present during the meeting.
TAPE Inc. currently has a block-time agreement with GMA Network.
