GMA head writer Suzette Doctolero took to social media to express her thoughts on freedom of speech.
In her tweet on March 14, Doctolero called out those who would criticize a person voicing out his concern on social media.
Bansa tayo na gustong passive lahat. Kapag may magsalita, patatahimikin. Kapag sumigaw ng rape, ima mock. Kapag may magsabi ng mali at naranasan niya, susumbatan. Ano ba?? Mahihinang nilalang. Kungdi gustong marinig at mabasa, e di wag mong pakinggan at basahin. Tuldok!

She even called those people “weaklings.”
In a separate tweet, she noted the importance of voicing our concerns.
At kung pagbabawalan ang lahat na magsalita…. Ano silbi ng socmed? Manood lang ng mga nagsasayaw at mga nagpapa cute? 🤮 ika nga ni G Washington apple 🤣 “If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter." Good morning!

Doctolero did not reveal to whom she was referring, but her statement came after the Supreme Court junked the rape and acts of lasciviousness charges against TV host Vhong Navarro.
