On January 17, actress Rica Peralejo highlighted the value of practical furniture in promoting mental health for mothers.
At the media conference for Uratex Monoblock’s Bawal ang Marupok campaign, Peralejo noted how it was unavoidable for children to play or have accidents when playing with furniture.
“Ayaw namin na no lang kami ng no, nakakatulong din sa mental health ng isang nanay na hindi mo kailangan ma-frustrate sa masisira ng anak mo. Because they will, they will break things, they will write on things and so if you have– ako naman learning ko ‘yun no, ang ganda-ganda ng mga gamit ko na binili before. Kasi aesthetic, pero unang-una hindi na nga safe.
“I told you earlier, in the backstage, muntik ng madisgrasya ‘yung anak ko, hindi nalaglag na, may angel lang siguro na hindi napaano, but that’s when I realize that when you pick pala items for the house, you don’t just pick them because they’re nice.”
She then compared her priorities when she was young and now that she has a family.
“You do that when you’re dalaga. But when you have kids na, you realize na, ‘Ah hindi, kailangan masabayan nila ‘yung likot ng mga anak mo na safe pa rin.'”
She also pointed out how having reliable furniture helps her have peace of mind.
“Pag nasulatan, magagalit ka ba talaga, na nasulatan na eh bata ‘yan eh. But of course, pwede mo naman sabihan na don’t write it but you can’t expect na 100% that they’ll follow and not really touch your furnitures. So it really has to be something, or you’re willing to ‘yung kung ano-ano lang ‘yung magawa niya, but you won’t get frustrated over. Kasi ang sama naman na non na araw-araw na lang, nagagalit ka sa kanila at naiinis ka di ba?”
Uratex Monoblock’s Bawal ang Marupok campaign emphasizes the brand’s goal and mission to nurture, protect and care for its consumers through durable and practical products.
