On March 25, Original Pilipino Music singer-composer Rey Valera discussed leaving his legacy as a musician through his company.
At the media conference for ‘Kahit Maputi na Ang Buhok Ko: The Music of Rey Valera,’ which LionhearTV covered, Valera highlighted that he wanted to release more of his music through Blackgold Records.
He then stated that the proceeds from Vicor Music’s sister company would be directed toward his advocacy of sharing his music with future generations.
Valera stated that the funds would be used to promote songs. What is important for him is to contribute while talent and time are still available.
He then shared the principles he learned from the late Rico Jay Puno.
At hanggang ngayon dala-dala ‘yun namin.”
Valera then detailed what he realized with his music career and working with music legends such as Puno.
He furthered, “At kung may gagawin ka pa, gawin mo na, dahil kakaunti na lang ‘yung panahon na binigay sayo eh, kaya in a hurry ako ngayon eh.”
