At the media event for Sun Life Financial’s Wheel of Life on March 6, actor Piolo Pascual disclosed his busy schedule for 2023.
Pascual highlighted the film Walang KaParis as one of his first projects for 2023.
“We just posted our recent film, ‘Walang KaParis.’ It’s going to premiere on Prime Amazon on March 23, if I’m not mistaken, and we have a couple of films on our slate, so it’s been busy.”
He also cited their plans regarding the next quarter, including co-productions of Spring Films and Cornerstone Entertainment.
“Tomorrow, we have another meeting to plan for the next quarter because we really have films lined up, and I’m also doing another film which I will be on the shoot by next week. So dire-diretso. Aside from acting, I’m also producing in some of my films– and also the films that Spring Films and Cornerstone are producing.”
He then revealed an upcoming Netflix series and a special appearance in the film GomBurZa.
“I just finished doing a series with Alessandra (de Rossi). It’s going to come out on Netflix. It’s an eight-episode series, the first Netflix Filipino series that Netflix actually acquired.
“And I jumped to GomBurZa right away, special participation, I’m playing the role of Pedro Pelaez– I’m done shooting. And then next week– opo– it’s just a few scenes– that I had to do. I think it’s going to come out in December.”
He also listed his production with Kyle Echarri, a musical, and an international tour.
“And then next, I’m going to start filming for The Ride, which I’m doing with Kyle Echarri–it’s a suspense crime-thriller– and [it’s going to] come out sometime this year as well.
“And then I’m going to jump on another show, which is a musical, Ibarra, which [is going to] come out in June. So I’m busy with that, and shortly after that, I’m touring in July, and then there’s another film [that] I’m doing when I get back for September, so it’s a fully booked year.”
Pascual also talked about why Filipinos hesitate to get insurance policies, citing the value of the personal relationships of their clients to Sun Life Advisors.
“I guess there’s a misconception kasi about insurances, so that’s why I’m happy with the way how SunLife handled me over the years, you know, coming up with new policies every year, and like si Miss Carla, she’s a walking SunLife information, anything you want to, you can ask her.
“That’s why we also have financial advisors–it’s important to have that kind of relationship, a personal kind of relationship so that you can explain to your clients or people who are interested [to get kind of] information they need to know. Because back in the day, hindi naman natin alam ‘tong mga ‘to.”
In 2022, Pascual also had a busy lineup of projects with the series Flower of Evil and the sitcom, My Papa Pi.
