Host-comedian and talent manager Ogie Diaz addressed social media posts about his commissions from Liza Soberano’s projects.
In his tweet response on Tuesday, March 14, Diaz wondered where the issue came from, that he did not receive any commission from Soberano in the past two years.
“Oo nga. Saan ba galing kasi yung di na ako nakakakomisyon?”

In a follow-up tweet on the same day, he also clarified that he continues to receive his rightful commission even though their contract ended because those were projects and endorsements covered and sealed before their contract’s expiration.
“Komisyon for the last 2 years? Meron. Yung mga bagong projects and endorsements offers ang tinatanggihan ni Liza. Kaya nga gusto ko tanggapin na niya yung ‘It’s Okay to Not be Okay’ para active uli ang LizQuen kahit wala na akong makuha. Saan galing ang komisyon issue?”

Diaz’s tweets came after Soberano’s interview with Boy Abunda, in which she expressed hurt toward her former manager.
During her interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Monday, March 13, she was asked by Abunda if there was truth to the rumors that her former manager did not get any commission from her for the past two years.
In response, an emotional Soberano said that there’s no truth to it, adding Diaz is still getting commissions from her even until now.
“It’s not right. That’s incorrect. It actually hurts me when he’s making up those lies about me because… I feel like he’s trying to make it seem like I was unprofitable in the past two years that we were working together when he knows the truth. He knows my pain, when he knows the things that I felt were mishandled.
“It’s kind of unfair [because] I feel like he’s trying to tarnish my name. Literally last month, we gave him a paycheck for an endorsement that was renewed before our contract ended. And kahit na wala na siyang ginagawa for that, we gave him his commission because that’s what’s right.”
The issue about the commission got posted by social media personality Xian Gaza on his Facebook page on Monday, February 27.
In defense of Diaz from bashers, Gaza posted that the talent manager had not gotten any commission from Soberano for the past 2 years.
“Pareng Ogie, bina-bash ka nila at tinatawag na mukhang pera. Nanghihinayang ka daw sa kikitaing pera kay Liza kaya ka kumukuda. Hindi kasi nila alam na wala ka ng kinita kay Liza sa huling dalawang taon ng inyong kontrata.”
