Momoland member Nancy McDonie has already unfollowed singer-talent manager James Reid on Instagram.
A tweet by Twitter account @kowalers on March 17, showed a screenshot of McDonie’s Instagram following without James Reid on it.

The incident piqued the interest of the netizen since it coincided with the current hot topic involving the seemingly soft launch of James Reid and Issa Pressman’s relationship.
The two caught the attention of social media after posting photos of them during the concert of former One Direction member Harry Styles. One photo showed them holding hands.
However, one netizen pointed out that McDonie has reset her Instagram following the change of management.
In a reply to @kowalerts’ tweet, @KYLAxMMLD asked netizens to spare McDonie from the James-Issa issue since she has nothing to do with it.

Meanwhile, Reid and McDonie were supposed to star in a Kapamilya teleserye, ‘The Soulmate Project’.
The series was first announced in late 2019 and is set to be written and directed by On The Wings of Love director Antoinette Jadaone.
Filming for the series was supposed to start in February 2020, but it was halted by the COVID-19 pandemic and later on by the shutdown of ABS-CBN. Although the series was still part of ABS-CBN’s omnibus flag for its 2021 program offerings, Reid already hinted that the series was already shelved when he said he would no longer do the project.
In a Kumu session on February 2021 via TaxWhizPH’s Kumu channel, Reid was asked to give an update about his teleserye with McDonie, The Soulmate Project.
In response, he just said, “Soulmate… I won’t be doing Soulmate,” without giving any further details.
