‘Encantadia’ director Mark Reyes recently shared an update on the upcoming Kapuso series ‘Sang’gre’.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, March 22, Reyes teased the Encantadia fans after sharing a photo of him with the Sang’gres’ Glaiza De Castro, Kylie Padilla, Gabbi Garcia, and Sanya Lopez’s standees in his background.
Reyes wrote, “So we just had our first creative meeting on the pilot script of #sanggre . See you soon @glaizaredux @kylienicolepadilla @gabbi @sanyalopez #herewegoagain”
In October last year, Reyes also posted what seemed to be a working poster for the upcoming Encantadia spin-off project.
In an Instagram post on October 17, 2022, he wrote, “This. #sanggre #encantadia #soon @noellayonflores @suzidoctolero.“
‘Sang’gre’ was supposed to be aired in 2022 after the GMA Network included it in their omnibus plug for their upcoming 2022 programs.
According to the Kapuso press release, “Sang’gre is about a girl who manifests magical superpowers without knowing that she is the only daughter of Danaya, the youngest among the four Sang’gre sisters and the keeper of the earth gem.”
‘Encantadia’ first aired in 2005, starring the original cast: Karylle, Diana Zubiri, Sunshine Dizon, and Iza Calzado. It was followed by the sequel ‘Etheria’ in 2005, ‘Encantadia: Pag-ibig Hanggang Wakas’ in 2006, and a reboot of the original ‘Encantadia’ in 2016 starring the new cast members Glaiza De Castro, Kylie Padilla, Gabbi Garcia, and Sanya Lopez.
