On March 20, Hope Elizabeth ‘Liza’ Soberano voiced her belief that her loveteam with Enrique Gil (LizQuen) didn’t achieve much compared to the number one love team.
In her exclusive interview with Boy Abunda, she expressed her fears about her love team with Gil possibly ending at that time.
“I did not want the love team to end because it was my comfort zone, and at that time, I thought me and Quen haven’t achieved much compared to the number one love team.”
Netizens voiced mixed reactions on social media after the interview.
Some chided Soberano, implying that she was envious of other love teams.

Others defended Soberano, urging netizens to try and understand her message or what she was trying to convey to her fans.
I think she's just relaying to TBA how she looked at LT before in order to justify why she changed her outlook today abt artists being caged in a LT,People change as they grow old and it is happening to her ,she's in a new mgnt with execs who are adopting different culture

As for LizQuen, Soberano and Gil landed their first leading roles in a teleserye in Forevermore in 2014 after years of portraying third-wheel characters.
After the success of Forevermore, the love team worked on two movies in 2015, Just The Way You Are and Everyday I Love You.
Following their success, Soberano and Gil starred in the teleseryes, Dolce Amore (2016) and Bagani (2018).
The two also had another box-office success with The Valentine’s Day offering of 2017, My Ex and Whys.
