Ogie Diaz, Liza Soberano’s former manager, stated ABS-CBN did not fail to offer projects to artists Soberano and her boyfriend Enrique Gil.
He said they were offered to do the Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean series ‘It’s Okay Not To Be Okay,’ but the two rejected the offer.
On March 1, Diaz said he convinced Soberano to star in the said project.
“Nung huli bago matapos yung kontrata sinabi ko kay Liza, ‘Anak, maganda ‘tong ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’ sabi ko ‘tanggapin mo na ‘yan anak kahit wala na ako sa picture. Gusto ko lang siyang makita ng fans niya ulit, sila ni Enrique Gil,” he shared.
In February 2022, unconfirmed reports surfaced that Kapamilya love team Soberano and Gil (LizQuen) would top-bill the Philippine adaptation of the South Korean Netflix series ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.’
The South Korean romantic comedy-drama, ‘It’s Okay To Not Be Okay’ aired in 2020 on Netflix. It stars Kim Soo Hyun as Moon Gang-Tae and Seo Ye Ji as Ko Mun-Yeong.
