It’s Showtime‘s child star Kulot cried on the noontime show. A concerned netizen urged her to consult a child psychologist.

On March 27, a concerned psychologist on facebook shared that he has been seeing video clips of Kulot crying on national TV.
“Dear It’s Showtime and ABS-CBN, I have been seeing video clips of a child crying on national TV because you were openly discussing family conflict in your show. While the intention was good, I think doing this has serious repercussions on the child’s mental health and well-being. You should also not force a child to say I love you to a family member especially if she has expressed that she’s not comfortable doing it. Please consult a child psychologist so you are aware of the consequences of your actions when you are working with children.”
The netizen shared that the said behavior of the child may have some serious consequences on the child’s mental health and well-being.
The said segment of the show is non-scripted. Kulot openly shared her family conflicts. It’s Showtime hosts Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis were able to handle the situation.
Another netizen lauded the hosts on how they managed the discussion.
“I have complicated feelings sa It’s showtime but respect kay Vice ganda + Anne with the way they handled this. It’s rare that the hosts were put in the spot by a kid. Hirap i-segue or gawing light yung topic but they managed it and were sensitive towards Kulot,” the netizen captioned.
may nabasa akong tweet na ini-invalidate at gaslight daw nila feelings nila which they weren't? they were trying to comfort a crying child and be sensitive sa emotions nya. the kid exposed a family problem on live tv, di yan scripted, how do you put a stop to a child's bluntness?

p.s. at kung pagiisipan nyong mabuti, tama naman sinabi nila. men cheat not because they aren't proud of or don't love their kids. men cheat mga because gago sila, mga makakati at hindi makuntento sa isang partner lang. pinaganda nga lang nila vice eh para pg friendly pa rin.

…are all doing lol. what i explicitly said was i, personally, respect what the two hosts did. then followed by criticizing a tweet i read using buzz words like "gaslighting" in their commentary. nowhere there was it implied you all must applaud what they did just because my…

… something that tracks with what vice ganda would do or say. it's a very meme vice thing to do to make light of something by looking at the positive, even if it leans towards toxic positivity. one of the reasons kaya nga complicated feelings ko sa show lol.
