On March 22, Kapamilya artist Kobie Brown recalled how he planned for his ‘prom-posal’ for Andi Abaya for the first-ever Star Magic Prom.
At the set visit for Teen Clash in Quezon City, Brown revealed that he prepared five different plans for his ‘prom-posal for Abaya.
“Plinano ko ‘to parang mga three weeks ago at marami akong plans sa una. Parang, I came up with give plans. I wanted to do like ball globe, a flash mob, ano pa, just like a billboard for Andi, pero hindi natuloy ‘yun.”
After much consideration, he decided to do a good old-fashioned serenade or ‘harana’ to express his intentions of asking Abaya out for the Star Magic Prom.
“You know, I just thought this would be the most meaningful thing for her kung hinarana ko siya. And ‘yun po, sobrang kabado ako sa una but I’m so happy she enjoyed it. I made the [tarpaulin] myself and [stuff]– and I bought her flowers and talagang nag-practice ako for the song. Ayun po, I’m so happy she said yes.”
He also thanked his Teen Clash co-star Fana for helping with his song.
“Yes po, parang tinanong ko siya two weeks ago. Actually ‘yung original plan was dapat sila ‘yung mga back-up dancers ko. Dapat may slow dance. But hindi natuloy ‘yun. But I made sure to ask Fana if she could sing the girl part, sing the duet because there was no one else to do it. So maraming salamat Fana for helping me.”
Aside from the kilig-filled moments during the Teen Clash screening, Brown also addressed the fans’ reaction to the love triangle between him, Andi, and Fana.
“Ako po, ‘you know it sobrang excited ako to be honest because it’s something different, it’s something different naman. You know, kahit if there’s ever going to be a competition it’s not going to affect anything between us kasi sobrang lakas ng chemistry namin. Like, ako, si Andi, at si Fana. And I’m just so excited to see everyone’s reaction sa mga upcoming episodes ko.”
Fana appreciated the feedback from fans regarding their unique on-screen love triangle.
“Okay naman po, like friendly ano lang naman po, friendly competition. And masaya nga po ‘yun kasi marami din pong like, ayun nga, like sa feedback po, marami ring nagiging interested with our love team, with Andi, and of course, ‘yung love triangle po namin. And we’re so excited rin po na mapanood ninyo po ‘yung other episodes.”
As for their series, Teen Clash stars Jayda Avanzado, Aljon Mendoza, and Markus Paterson.
The cast also features Bianca de Vera, Zach Castañeda, Fana, Luke Alford, Brown, Abaya, Ralph Malibunas, and Gail Banawis.
