On March 1, Kapamilya singer Jason Dy said he is thankful to ABS-CBN for giving him opportunities throughout his career.
At the media conference for his first Star Music single, Ulit-Ulit, he promised to remain a Kapamilya.
“Ano lang talaga, I’m very thankful for ABS-CBN for giving me all [of] these opportunities. And as long as they will continue to have me, and as long as they will continue– [to you know,] give me projects, and continue to work with ASAP and all the other shows in ABS-CBN, I will always be with ABS, I will always be a Kapamilya.”
He also highlighted how the Network helped start his career in music.
“Kasi sila ang nagbigay sa akin ng opportunity, and sa kanila ako nagsimula, so hanggat kasama ko sila, hanggat kinukuha nila ako, I will always be with ABS. And of course, Star Music, sobrang thankful ako na finally part of the Star Music family.”
He then recounted some of his memorable performances as a Kapamilya singer.
“Siguro ano na lang, everytime sa ASAP na kapag nagkakaroon kami ng Champions prod. ‘Yan ang naano ko, everytime na may Champions prod, tapos lahat ng mga champions from different singing competition are there to sing their piece or you know, kasi everytime na mapabilang ka sa mga ano na ‘yun, sa group na ‘yun, parang it’s an elite group of singers and hindi lahat kasama doon. So being part of that.
“The second one, probably, [was ]my finale performance sa The Voice. ‘Yun talagang last performance ko.
“My performance with David Foster, that’s very, that’s a highlight of my career. That’s quite the experience also. Kasi hindi lahat nakakapag-perform with David Foster.”
Dy won the second season of The Voice Philippines in March 2015. He then became a mainstay performer and singer in the Kapamilya network.
As for his latest Star Music single, Ulit-Ulit became available on various music streaming platforms starting March 1. He also released a follow-up music video for the song on March 3.
