On March 2, Manila Mayor Maria Shielah ‘Honey’ Lacuna-Pangan expressed her appreciation for the high ratings of Coco Martin’s FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.
At the contract signing event for Miss Manila 2023, Mayor Lacuna-Pangan attributed the success of the Kapamilya action drama to Martin’s talent.
Siyempre po siguro, nakakitaan– parang ano kasi ‘yan eh, nagulat talaga ‘yung ano ng– ni Coco Martin eh, and all of the things he’s been doing ng nagsimula siya sa Ang Probinsyano.”
She then noted how FPJ’s Batang Quiapo helped highlight parts of Manila City.
FPJ’s Batang Quiapo earned TV ratings ranging from 11 to 13 percent since its airing on February 13.
Mayor Lacuna-Pangan also expressed support for Vice Mayor Yul Servo’s acting career.
Mayor Lacuna-Pangan made history during the 2022 elections when she won the first woman mayor of Manila.
