On March 3, the Hearts On Ice cast, Ashley Ortega, Tonton Gutierrez, Rita Avila, and Cheska Iñigo, praised their co-star Xian Lim for his professionalism and note-worthy conduct.
At the media conference for Hearts On Ice, Ortega admired Lim’s commitment to learning figure skating.
“I really admire Xian for being so sipag sa set, alam mo mas masipag pa nga ‘yan mag training kaysa sa akin, sa totoo lang. Parang araw- araw siyang nag-i-skate. Hindi pa bukas ‘yung skating rink, nandoon na siya. Oo totoo, nag-streching na siya, tapos nagulat ako sa Stories niya na parang, ‘Nandiyan nanaman siya? Nagpapahinga siya.’ And he’s such a fast learner, lalo na na adult skater na siya, late na siya pumasok. Tapos, nakakabalance siya. And abangan ninyo na lang ‘yung mga eksena namin, may mga liftings na kaming nagagawa.”
Gutierrez cited his work praise-worthy work experience with Lim in previous projects.
“Si Xi naman nakailang soaps na kami eh. Mayroon pang movie, so I’m really comfortable working with him because he’s really very professional, magaling na actor, mabait, gwapo, simpatiko, at nakikinig sa advice ko.”
Avila recounted how Lim proactively showed respect to senior stars.
“Tapos si Xian, I met him years ago. Tumatak sa isip ko ‘yung– siya ‘yung pagpasok ko ng room maraming tao, siya ‘yung unang tumayo at bumati. Baon-baon ko ‘yung memory na ‘yun so gentleman talaga siya.”
Iñigo attested to Lim’s kind, respectful, and exemplary behavior toward his co-workers.
“They put in so much hardwork, beyond what’s asked of them. They make time, especially like si Xi, si Roxy. They’re not skaters, but they spend a lot of time– sa rink, more than I think even the coaches ask of them.
“Guys payo lang, wag kayong magbabago, gayahin ninyo si Xian, napaka-professional. I always say this, I make it a point to say this, I’ve worked with Xian several times, and naging anak ko na si Xian maraming beses, walang nag-bago, sa lahat ng taon na dumadaan, walang nagbago, gumaling lang.”
Lim gushed about the heartwarming feedback he got from his co-stars in the series.
“Para sa akin po, laking pasasalamat ko lang po that we are in good company.
“I just feel very blessed na lagi silang nandiyan sa set, ginagabayan rin po nila kami. And, it feels wonderful na sila po ‘yung kasama namin. They just feel– ‘yun nga pong sabi ni Miss Ina, na may heirarchy, wala pong ganon eh. I just feel very flattered and it feels really good.”
Lim and Ortega star in the upcoming Kapuso series, Hearts on Ice.
The teleserye also features Amy Austria, Avila, Gutierrez, Lito Pimentel, Ina Feleo, Cheska Iñigo, Kim Perez, Ruiz Gomez, Roxie Smith, Shuvee Etrata, and Skye Chua.
Reports also confirmed that Filipino Olympic figure skater Michael Martinez has a special appearance in the upcoming Kapuso series.
Under the direction of Zapata, Hearts on Ice airs on March 13 on GMA Telebabad.
