The renowned record producer and music executive treated Filipino fans with his chart-topping songs performed by his talented musical friends and guests.
Global Starmaker David Foster once again brought top-caliber entertainment to Filipino audiences last week, from March 21 to March 26. The Canadian music icon gathered some of the world’s most talented musical icons–who also are his friends. He made the event extra special as world-class Filipino talents Martin Nievera and Morisette got invited to perform.
Among the top-class acts who joined Foster in the concert series called David Foster and Friends, Live at The Theatre at Solaire are American Idol alumna Pia Toscano, America’s Got Talent alumnus Daniel Emmett, his wife Katharine McPhee (who was also an American Idol finalist) and Filipino show-stoppers Martin Nievera and Morisette Amon.

Known to give the spotlight to promising talents such as Jake Zyrus (then-Charice), Foster once again brought a Filipina talent to global attention; this time, it was Morisette.

The Voice of the Philippines alumna had the time of her life on the stage, as she rendered some of Foster’s timeless compositions, particularly Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing. Her performance of the power ballad earned her a standing ovation and a deafening round of applause from the audience.
The concert series deprive not the audience of stunning surprise performances. Toscano belted out the Regine Velasquez-original–Kailangan Kita, and an 18-year-old Pinoy attendee shocked Foster and the entire audience when she delivered a sassy yet powerful rendition of Alicia Keys’s If I Ain’t Got You.
@odieyap22 Didn’t realize she’s part of this concert! Sooo stunned! #katherinemcphee #davidfoster #davidfosterinmanila
But of course, as many would argue, the best highlight of the series was Morisette’s roof-raising performances of I Have Nothing and Never Enough (from The Greatest Showman). It somehow reminded the world of that one time when it was Jake Zyrus in Morisette’s shoes.
