Netizens tried to map Optimum’s star’s film career and the overall verdict was bad.
“Claudine Barretto’s current film career is so depressing,” reads Nicol’s posts on Twitter last March 27, attracting several netizens who mostly agreed with what he said.
One of Barretto’s most memorable recent appearances was on Vilma Santos’s 60th birthday special on ABS-CBN. The actress was encouraged by Santos in an episode to pursue her career and do her best.
Perhaps two of these opportunities can be found in the films @nikowl posted in his tweet. Barretto’s most recent film projects only serve to illustrate how downgraded her career has become since her peak in the early 2000s, when she was still one of the brightest young stars in the industry.

When Claudine had her comeback movie with "Etiquette for Mistresses", I thought that would be the start of a career revival for her, especially since her transfer to GMA didn't work out in the end.
Seeing the kinds of movies she's made since then, it is disappointing. https://t.co/jIFPyw1lpI
