At the grand media conference for Oras de Peligro on February 12, actress Cherry Pie Picache recounted her experience working with a rude young star.

Picache hinted at her experience but left the young star unnamed.

“Oo. Parang gumanon lang ata siya.”

She also cited her training with award-winning directors in showing respect for senior stars.

Ganon ‘yung training namin.

She then discussed how she often provides advice to young stars about being respectful to seasoned actors.

It’s not a single incident, but may mga bata talaga na I tell them directly. Parang we don’t mean it that way, pero now we will be more sensitive and we will be more aware, so marami namang ganon. Siguro hindi lang nare-realize ‘yung importance.”

Picache then highlighted how acting workshops included teachings about showing respect to people in the showbiz industry.

“Tapos sa mga workshops ngayon, ini-incorporate ‘yun, ‘yung giving respect to the seniors. I mean lahat, from the directors, actors, ‘yung ganon. So ‘yung pagbibigay pugay sa mga nauna so ganon.”

However, she clarified that she would only go so far for a young star.

As for her upcoming film, Picache stars in Oras de Peligro with Allen Dizon, Dave Bornea, Therese Malvar, Jim Pebanco, Crysten Dizon, Elora Espana, Timothy Castillo, and Rico Barrera.

Under the direction of award-winning filmmaker Joel Lamangan, Oras de Peligro opens in cinemas starting March 1.
