On March 11, Kapuso stars Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid reacted to rumors of Eat Bulaga!’s rebranding.
At the media conference for their upcoming Viu and GMA Network series, The Write One, Umali expressed support for the Kapuso noontime show and cited that she and Madrid have little knowledge about what was happening in Eat Bulaga!
“Ruru and I, we both love Eat Bulaga. And I also love the relationship that I have with Mr. D, with the Dabarkads, and everyone else, sa lahat ng mga taong nasa loob ng EB at noong show, mahal po namin sila. Kung ano man po ‘yung pinagdadaanan ng pamilya ngayon, we are one with them. I feel deeply as much as they do.
“And suddenly lang din po namin nalaman–because we are [focused] on taping our show. But we hope that everything gets better.”
She also noted that they don’t want to get involved with the controversies faced by Eat Bulaga!
“Well, sa ngayon po, parang wala po kaming masyadong communication, siguro kasi ayaw rin po namin sabayan kung ano man po ‘yung controversies na nangyayari. We know naman po how to position our selves, siguro as for now, it’s not our place to ask too much questions about it kasi bago palang din naman po kami.”
Madrid echoed Umali’s statement about having limited info about the issues within the Kapuso noontime show.
Dahil the last time na nakapag-Eat Bulaga kami was Feb pa.
He also voiced his support for the longest-running Kapuso noontime program.
As for the upcoming series, Umali and Madrid star in the Kapuso series, The Write One.
