At the media conference for ‘The Write One’ on March 11, Kapuso star Bianca Umali expressed gratitude and appreciation for the track record of her career on GMA Network.
Umali said she had been happy with the recent number of advocacy series and cultural dramas she received from the GMA Network.
The actress revealed, “I have been very happy with the track record that I have had in the past years, yes I have been– I have done very successful cultural dramas at projects na may purpose at may cause, may magandang mensahe.”
Her upcoming series will also share an important message with the Kapuso audience, she clarified.
“The Write One is not that different from that, actually ‘yung The Write One hindi simple, ‘yung istorya, actually napaka makabuluhan siya.”
Earlier, she also discussed what it was like working with her beau, Ruru Madrid.
“To share with everyone, actually noong una, lagi naman naming kinukwento na it was kind of weird for the both of us because in real life parang hindi kami sanay na magkatrabaho kami. Sanay kami na magkaiba ‘yung work namin and kapag rest day namin, kami ‘yung pahinga ng isa’t isa.”
She also thanked GMA Network and Viu for the opportunity to take on the role in ‘The Write One.’
“But this time it’s different, kasi kami naman ‘yung trabaho ng isa’t isa. Hindi na pahinga, trabaho na. So iba ‘yung experience. But so far, because of Viu and because of GMA Public Affairs, the journey has been wonderful.”
As for her upcoming series, Umali stars in the Kapuso series, ‘The Write One’ with Ruru Madrid.
The Kapuso series, in partnership with Viu, features Paul Salas, Mikee Quintos, Monching Gutierrez, Lotlot de Leon, Karenina Haniel, Analyn Barro, Yvette Sanchez, Eva Le Queen, Alma Concepcion, Mon Confiado, Kaloy Tingcungco, Migs Villasis, Euwenn Mikaell Aleta, and many more.
On March 18, Viu will stream the first episode of ‘The Write One’ directed by King Mark Baco.
