On March 9, at the media conference of Kapuso actress Beauty Gonzalez’s upcoming Magpakailanman episode, Takas sa Impiyerno, Gonzalez couldn’t help but get emotional as she hinted at seeing someone she knew who experienced getting trapped in a bad relationship.
“I hope not, kasi it’s [kind of] heavy. I don’t want that to happen in my real life. It’s not [nice–] I don’t wish for anybody to experience that.
“I have close family friends that– I’ve witnessed na I saw, ‘Oh my God, naiiyak ako.’ I saw how it was to be in a family na trapped, na you feel like na wala ka ng malalabasan kasi the father is a ‘bad man,’ ‘bad person,’ so I saw and witnessed it.”
She noted that the person close to her escaped the relationship.
“I’m happy for them that they’re out of it na, but it was a very, very hard for me to see, kasi as a family member, you can do so much, but you know, you can’t really interfere pag problema ng pamilya sa pamilya. So I don’t want na–mahirap.”
She then cited how her upcoming Magpakailanman episode fits the advocacy of International Women’s Day.
“It’s International Women’s Day so I really hope that a lot of women would watch this and they realize na you have choice. Na may choice ka to get out from any situation, and no matter what happens. Don’t ever think na wala kang matatawagan na tulong, maraming tao sa paligid mo na handang tumulong para sayo. So timing, timing ‘tong–timing.”
She also emphasized the message of her episode to people about knowing their worth.
“Know your worth, alamin mo ‘yung worth mo bilang tao, mapababae ka man o lalaki ka, kailangan mahalin mo ‘yung sarili mo and nobody can hurt you if you don’t allow things to happen to you. Para, you know, ‘yun talaga ‘yung lesson learned na makukuha mo dito na know your worth and no matter what happens don’t let anybody hurt you kasi wala sila karapatan.”
As for her episode, Gonzalez stars in the Magpakailanman episode, Takas sa Impiyerno with Lucho Ayala.
Under the direction of actress-director Gina Alajar, the Magpakailanman episode airs on Saturday, March 11.
