After the reports of the noontime show Tropang LOL to stop airing on TV5, rumors are saying comedians Bayani Agbayani and Wacky Kiray were offered to return to ABS-CBN’s I Can See Your Voice (ICSYV) as sing-vestigators.
On March 25, showbiz insider and talent manager Ogie Diaz shared that the two comedians were given the chance to return to Kapamilya fold.
“Hindi niya [Kiray] tinanggap ‘yung I Can See Your Voice. Doon siya nagconcentrate sa LOL. Habang si Bayani Agbayani, sumegue sa I Can See Your Voice ‘di ba? Kaya si Kiray, nanghihinayang na sana tinanggap na lang niya ‘yung I Can See Your Voice kung alam niya lang noong una na magbababu na ‘yung LOL,” Diaz shared.
The two were part of the original sing-vestigators, who will guess if the celebrity contestant is SEEn-tunado or SEEnger.
Ricardo Janaban Balarosa, Jr., (Wacky Kiray’s real name) declined the offer to return to the ICSYV show, saying he will focus on Tropang LOL. Reportedly, he regretted his decision after learning their noontime show would go off the air soon.
Diaz did not disclose if Alex Gonzaga got offered to return to the program, too.
“Ang binanggit lang ng rating source ay nag-pray na lang si Alex. Tinanggap ang katotohanan na mawawala na ang LOL at puro tungkol kay God ang kaniyang binabanggit para mas palakasin pa ang loob ng kaniyang mga kasama,” he said.
Bayani said he got saddened by the news of Tropang LOL being gone, but he respected the decision of the management.
“Para sa akin, nakakahinayang dahil sa maiksing panahon ng Tropang LOL, maayos naman ang rating namin. Pero siyempre, dapat din nating igalang ang desisyon ng network, dahil bilang employee, ang employer talaga ang may say sa desisyon ng kaniyang negosyo,” he shared.
