Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza and Pambansang Ginoo David Licauco team up once again in another exciting adventure via GMA’s award-winning weekly anthology “Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.”
The trending love team of Barbie and David is all set to bring kilig and impart life lessons to Kapuso viewers as Lady and Luke in the four-week special titled “Lady and Luke” beginning this Sunday (March 12).
Also starring in the series are Zonia Mejia as Sabrina, Vince Maristela as Atom, Gilleth Sandico as Delilah, Hannah Precillas as Mau, and Bodjie Pascua as Lolo Lucas.
“Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko: Lady and Luke” follows the story of Lady (Barbie) and her sister Sabrina (Zonia) who are complete opposites. Lady is the responsible one who tends to be controlling with her younger sibling who is a happy-go-lucky girl. Sabrina resents the way her sister meddles with her life and compares Lady to a puppeteer.
The uptight personality of Lady extends to her work life as a property manager. One day, she gets into an argument with Delilah (Gilleth), a loud fortune teller with witchcraft skills who tries to escape from paying her rent.
Amid their squabble, a handsome contractor named Luke (David) runs into them. He was instantly captivated by Lady, but it was Delilah who got attracted to him. She then makes a love potion to deceive Luke. Meanwhile, Lady and Luke are constantly butting heads as they work together on a project.
One night, Sabrina crosses paths with Delilah and Mau (Hannah), a housekeeper who also hates Lady for some reason. That same night, an anonymous pair of hands wraps Lady’s missing bracelet around a voodoo doll.
The next day, Lady wakes up and panics as she starts moving against her will just like a puppet. She moves the same way with the voodoo doll and this curse happens to Lady at the most random place and time.
Who is behind the curse of Lady? How can she save herself from witchcraft? Is there still a chance between Lady and Luke if they both fall under black magic?
The series is made possible under the supervision of GMA SVP for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable; VP for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy; AVP for Drama Ali Nokom-Dedicatoria; and Executive Producer Arlene D. Pilapil.
