The official entertainment channel of ABS-CBN is the most popular video streaming and sharing website–is one of the most subscribed in the country and in Southeast Asia.
After achieving 40 million YouTube subscribers in July last year, ABS-CBN Entertainment added three million [more] subscribers this year. The Network’s official entertainment channel crossed 43 million yesterday, March 21, making it the most subscribed, not just in the country and in Southeast Asia.
The YouTube channel added 4.4 billion lifetime views in 2022, according to the social media data analytics service SocialBlade. That’s a billion more than its nearest rival, GMA Network, whose main entertainment channel collected only a little over 3 billion lifetime views last year. In the last quarter of 2022 alone, ABS-CBN Entertainment gained approximately 1.1 billion views, higher than GMA Network’s 900 million.
According to Tubular Labs, total lifetime views for ABS-CBN Entertainment has surpassed 53 billion as early as June of 2022. In just two years, the popular YouTube channel has grown in subscriber count, from 30 million in October 2020, to 42 million this month. According to data analytics service Tubular Labs, ABS-CBN Entertainment surpassed its biggest contender, GMA Network’s monthly total views, registering 465 million [in total] views in February, against the latter’s 347 million.
ABS-CBN partnered with YouTube last year for some of its streaming-only releases, including the rom-com, How to Move On in 30 Days starring Carlo Aquino and Maris Racal, and the love anthology Love Bites, which returns this year with a brand new season featuring some of ABS-CBN’s most-popular romantic pairs.
Through its Kapamilya Online Live, which streams on the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel, ABS-CBN makes its past and current shows available to its online audience. Full episodes of several classic shows are uploaded daily as well–as currently airing dramas, including FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, The Iron Heart, and noontime shows, ASAP Natin ‘To and It’s Showtime.
Aside from ABS-CBN Entertainment, ABS-CBN owns more than a dozen official channels on the streaming platform, each attracting millions of views and subscribers.
