At the media conference for AraBella on February 25, Kapuso artist Abdul Raman recounted his journey with Shayne Sava as a Kapuso Love Team.
Raman listed the projects he and Sava have worked on together.
“Yes of course po, kasi siyempre it’s our third–oo third project na po together, siyempre nandoon po ‘yung journey namin since Legal Wives, ‘yung unang parang nagkaka–‘yung parang first instance namin na nagkakilala talaga kami.
“Sa Raising Mama, ‘yung locked in na ‘yun, we got to know each other even more, we got more challenges, more scenes together, tapos dito naman po sa AraBella, ‘yung third time namin together.”
He then cited the challenges of portraying a ‘torpe’ character in AraBella.
“And it was so much fun– I mean it’s always fun naman kapag kasama ko si Shayne. And ‘yung naging extra challenge sa akin dito was ‘yung pagiging torpe talaga. Kasi, ako sa experience ko in real life, hindi kasi ako– hindi ako sobrang torpe. Kaya ko kasing makipag-usap sa babaeng nagiging gusto ko.”
He then noted how much fun he had with the cast on the set of AraBella.
“So ‘yun ‘yung naging challenge sa akin, it was really fun, it was really fun to do. Tapos mayroon akong kaagaw dito, ayan si Ed, si Saviour, actually ang dami naming nakakatawang moments dito, ‘yung kasi nga di ba lagi kaming magka-away, nag-aagawan kami dito, mayroon kaming mga moments na inaasar ko siya na parang, ‘Uy Saviour, dito lang ‘yung galit, wag sa ano–‘yung pagduduro.’ It was really fun, I had so much fun playing Justin.”
As for their series, AraBella stars Althea Ablan, Shayne Sava, and Camille Prats.
The Kapuso afternoon drama features Raman, Saviour Ramos, Klea Pineda, Mitzi Josh, Faye Lorenzo, Wendell Ramos, Alfred Vargas, and Nova Villa.
Directed by Adolfo Alix Jr, AraBella airs beginning March 6 on GMA Afternoon Prime.
