Week 2 ended with a new leader in the rankings. Bren Esports’ winning streak puts them at the top of the pedestal surpassing M4 World Champions ECHO by a point. The SIBOL 2023 representatives won both of their matches this past weekend, going 2-0 against Nexplay Evos on Day 1 and TNC Pro Team on Day 3, respectively. On the other hand, the Orcas were able to sustain their world championship momentum and remained unbeaten.
Blacklist International ended in 3rd place. After their opening-day loss, the agents bounced back with a second win against Omega Esports. Meanwhile, TNC Pro Team suffered another round of back-to-back sweeps, keeping them winless at the bottom of the standings.
This week, all eyes will be on the match between Blacklist International and RSG Slate PH. Renejay is set to duke it out against H2wo in what can be called a Super Showdown Reunion Match. After spending most of their professional careers as teammates under Nexplay, two-thirds of the Big Three will play against each other.
On Saturday, two former teammates, BoyetDr and Kelra will face each other in the MPL stage. BoyetDr used to play with Kelra, Marky, and Mico. He was the first player to receive an MPL offer, but refused because he wanted to play with his teammates. Now that he has achieved his dream to play in MPL Philippines with his teammates, will this Bataan Boy be able to finally make a name for himself, too?
