On Cristy Fermin’s online show ‘Showbiz Now Na’ with Rommel Chika and Wendell Alvarez, the three discussed that the mother of Yen Santos might have been afraid of her daughter’s relationship with Paolo Contis.
On February 10, Rommel Chika shared that the mother of Santos might have been afraid after learning that Contis was not providing financial support for his children.
On January 27, in an interview with TV host Boy Abunda, Contis revealed that he does not pay child support for his children Xonia, Xalene, and Summer.
The actor shared, “Sa sustento issue, I don’t give. Again, I have my reasons why, but I’m saving for them. I have some savings for them that hopefully, one day, I could give to them straight. It’s a mistake na nasimulan ko na hindi ako nakapagbigay, but ever since na nagtrabaho ako nang maayos, unti-unti akong naglalagay sa account para kay Xonia, kay Xalene, pati kay Summer.”
He narrated that he met Lian Paz, Xonia, and Xalene six or seven years ago when he visited Cebu. With his daughter with actress LJ Reyes, Summer, it has been almost two years since they last communicated.
Contis expressed that he reached out; although he understands that “forgiveness” takes time, and that he is giving that to LJ Reyes.
The actor continued, “Yung sa dalawa ko, gusto kong bumawi. ‘Yung kay Summer biglaan kasi…Lahat silang tatlo mahal ko syempre, pero doon sa dalawa, medyo malalim-lalim na rin ‘yung pagkukulang ko so hindi ko sila masisisi.”
Following a six-year relationship, Reyes confirmed her breakup with Paolo Contis in September 2021.
On January 30, Contis admitted he was currently in a relationship with another actress, Yen Santos.
