Six months after its soft launch, ALLTV is said to be planning to cancel some of its homegrown programs.
According to Jojo Gabinete in his PEP article published on February 3, ALLTV has already informed its talent about its plan to cut its shows off the air.
The management, however, assured the talents that they would still get their talent fees for their talent agreement contracts, which they signed before the network’s soft launch in September 2022.
Currently, the three most publicized ALLTV programs are Wowowin with Willie Revillame, Toni with Toni Gonzaga, and M.O.M. with the trio of Mariel Rodriguez, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Ciara Sotto.
So, what will happen now to Willie Revillame, Toni Gonzaga, and other talents recruited by ALLTV to boost their free-tv presence?
Gonzaga still has her YouTube channel, Toni Gonzaga Studio, with more than 6.5 million subscribers, where she can continue doing her interviews. Revillame also has his own YouTube channel, Wowowin, with 7.2 million subscribers, where he can also continue his variety program.
On the other hand, Rodriguez, Gutierrez, and Sotto might focus on separate projects again.
