Defeaning volumes roared in the venue as the crowd went wild for one of the best-selling pop boybands in history.
The Smart Araneta Coliseum got filled with ecstatic screams on February 20, Monday as the fans of the Irish boyband, Westlife, become loud in ovation as their idols delivered their biggest hits ever. The first night of the jampacked concert saw thousands of devoted fans, who by now already have kids of their own as the boyband noted while on the stage, filled the coliseum up to the brim. Lights flicker and screams rolled like thunder.
The night opened with one of their recent hits, Starlight, and went on with their biggest hits from the ‘90s and the early 2000s, including upbeat anthems, Uptown Girl and When You’re Looking Like That.
Three songs into the night, Kian, Shane, Mark, and Nicky, invited spectators to go on stage, including a pair of overjoyed fans who came to the show in bridal outfits! Of course, the whole venue went crazy over the boys’ lovely gesture.
Made possible by Wilbros Live, Westlife: The Wild Dreams Tour came more than two years since the band’s previous concert in the country. Global hits, including Swear It Again, If I Let You Go, and Flying Without Wings, sent the audience into a nostalgic frenzy, a way to relive their fondest fangirling and fanboying moments over one of the biggest selling musical acts of the late ‘90s and early 2000s.
