At the media conference for ‘Lagaslas’ on February 6, newbie Viva artist VR (Victor Ronald) Relosa said he wanted to be known to viewers for his “palaban” or “go-getter” attitude.
Relosa said he wants people to see that he’s always ready to take on challenges in acting. He shared, “Para sa akin, ‘yung palaban, walang ina-atrasan. ‘Yun nga at walang arte.”
He then highlighted the memorable dramatic scenes featured in their sexy film. He explained, “… although sexy film ‘to, ‘yung iba kasi iniisip kapag sexy film more on pagpapa-sexy, kulang sa talent, kulang sa execution pero dito kasi, mayroon kasi ditong medyo mabigat na scene, may iyakan.”
As an actor who started in theater, Relosa talked about the differences between working on the stage and in front of the camera. He pointed out that by acting in theatre, one gets to express himself freely; you have the whole stage to do whatever acting requires of you. He said, “Pwede ka magkalat, pag nagkamali ka panindigan mo lang, madali icorrect. “
Acting on film however is quite different. Madaming taong mapapagod.”
VR Relosa stars in the Vivamax film ‘Lagaslas’ with Manang Medina and features seasoned actors Julio Diaz, Rubi Rubi, and Arnold Reyes.
Directed by Christoper Novabos, ‘Lagaslas’ streams via Vivamax on February 17.
