From being the “most powerful” to the “most FLOPwerful” title–that’s what Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga is gaining these days.
Gonzaga has been crowned the “Flop Queen” by netizens after successive flop engagements, which culminated in the rumored cancellation of her ALLTV talk show, Toni.
After several online news reports and speculations, said that ALLTV management has already decided to stop airing some of its recently launched station-produced shows due to poor rating performances and few advertising placements.
According to a Bilyonaryo.com article published on February 4, the Villar family [who owned ALLTV] is not keen on throwing good money at these programs, which failed to attract a decent audience share and enough advertisers.
Because of this, Gonzaga earned the title “flop queen” by the netizens after a series of failed engagements, starting from the flak-drawing Shopee endorsement to the unflattering box office result of the MMFF movie My Teacher and the most recent poor sales of her 20th-anniversary concert at the Araneta Coliseum.
Netizen @thistimeforward tweeted Gonzaga’s infamous line shabay-shabay to enumerate the TV host-singer’s unsuccessful endoresement, movie, concert and TV show.
