At the media conference for ‘Without You’ on February 8, Kapuso artist Shaira Diaz hinted at the return of ‘Lolong’ with Book Two of the series.
Diaz cited the return of the series with them taping for ‘Lolong’ in September. Diaz confirmed, “Yes po, as Elsie pa rin po, and based sa mga sinasabi ng mga writer po na hanggang ngayon, nakakausap ko pa rin po, maganda po ‘yung tatakbuhin ng Book 2 po namin. So exciting po.”
She then talked about how her series helped her career, especially with her film ‘Without You.’
“Well, ako I’d like to think na malaking tulong talaga ‘yung timing na ilalabas ngayon, dahil nga may Maria Clara at Ibarra at Lolong, isa na rin ‘yun talaga na hindi ko naman itatanggi na parang hindi siya nakakatulong kasi after ng mga series na ‘yun, talagang parang dumami ‘yung followers namin at lumaki ‘yung fanbase namin and ang daming sumusuporta sa amin.”
As for her film, she highlighted the storyline of the romantic drama and its relatability. Her pride comes from the plot.
Diaz stars in the romantic drama ‘Without You’ with fellow Kapuso artist David Licauco.
The film also features Mark Rivera, Casie Banks, Rhiana Pangindian, Dindin Pajares, and Luis Hontiveros.
Directed by RC Delos Reyes, the OctoArts Valentine film opens in cinemas nationwide starting February 15, 2023.
