The sister of Rabiya Mateo’s ex-boyfriend, Neil Salvacion, has castigated the former “Miss Universe Philippines” for “lying” about the real score of their breakup.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, February 22, Nhel Skie slammed the former beauty queen for saying that she never accepted her brother’s marriage proposal.
“Nako! Ate. There’s always an option. To answer a question truthfully or to spill the tea with a fib. In addition, I’d like you to pay attention to this. You never rejected my brother’s proposal,” she wrote.
Nhel Skie added, “In fact, you accepted it and wore the ring before your pageant started internationally. Something happened along the way and you opted to commit a sin during the pageant and you have to own up to that. You’re lucky na mas gustong manahimik ng kapatid ko kesa patulan ang mga scripted na sagot mo.”
Nhel Skie’s reaction came after Mateo’s interview with Boy Abunda on the Kapuso afternoon talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda aired on February 21.
During the interview, Mateo revealed that his ex-boyfriend Neil proposed to her, but she was still young and wasn’t ready at that time, which is why she rejected the proposal.
Mateo shared, “This is the first time na sasabihin ko ito but he proposed to me, Tito Boy. And I was so young at that time. I wasn’t ready. Pero, I have a lot of dreams pa. I have a lot of dreams for my family, and during that time, he was ready to settle na. Feeling niya, okay na siya sa buhay, pero ako, I want to aspire for more. So doon kami nagkaroon ng conflict.”
Mateo and Salvacion were a couple for seven years before calling it quits in June 2021.
Currently, Mateo is in a relationship with fellow Kapuso star Jeric Gonzales.
