The final episode of Maria Clara at Ibarra (MCAI) will air on February 24. Kapuso’s upcoming series titled Mga Lihim ni Urduja (MLNU) will be Kapamilya’s FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’s (FPJBQ) newest rival show.
After months of receiving positive feedback consistently from viewers and netizens, GMA Network’s groundbreaking masterpiece MCAI is nearing its end.
MCAI is the former number-one drama nationwide until FPJBQ arrived.
On Monday, February 13, FPJBQ premiered with a rating of 12.5 percent, 0.4 percent lower than MCAI’s 12.9 percent.
However, the next day, Tuesday, February 14, the Coco Martin-starrer action-drama series quickly jumped to the overall number two spot and the number one entertainment program, bumping off longtime leader MCAI with a rating of 12.2 percent versus 11.1 percent, respectively.
On Wednesday, February 15, FPJBQ maintained its lead, with its rating climbing further up to 13.8 percent, beating MCAI by 1.3 percent at 12.5.
On February 27, MLNU will premiere on the Network’s Telebabad line up replacing MCAI.
