A netizen questioned Filipino singer Katrina Velarde’s “Asia’s Vocal Supreme” title.
On February 6, the Facebook account of VIVA Live Inc. posted photos of Velarde taken during the anniversary concert of Maestro Louie Ocampo at The Theatre at Solaire.
It wrote, “DAY 2 | Asia’s Vocal Supreme @katrinavelarde24 at Louie Ocampo’s Composer Ka Lang 45th Anniversary Concert at The Theatre at Solaire.”
“Paano siya naging Asia’s?” a netizen commented.
The singer responded, “Abay malay ko. Wag ka na pasimpleng basher. Di ko din alam baket.”
On a Facebook post, Velarde shared she is also wondering how she got her title.
“Abay malay ko! Di ko din alam. Wag kayo mag alala, nag wowonder din ako baket. Lagi ko sinasabi pag iintroduce ako, Katrina Velarde lang. Kaya di ko din talaga alam,” Velarde concluded.
In 2012, Velarde was part of the group “New Born Divas” that competed in the second season of ‘Talentadong Pinoy’. She then joined the first season of ‘The X Factor Philippines’ and became part of the girl group A.K.A. J.A.M.
